The project

Airport Tire & Alignment is a tire, alignment, and 24/7 roadside service shop in Wills Point, Texas. The business had an outdated website on an older domain, airporttire64.com, and needed a modern site at a new address — airporttiretx.com — without losing the traffic the old one already had.

I designed, built, and launched it end to end: the site itself, the customer forms, email, analytics, search setup, hosting configuration, and the move from the old domain.

What was involved

More than a template, start to finish.

The website

  • Custom-built PHP and JavaScript site, no template
  • Responsive design for phones, tablets, and desktops
  • Page titles, descriptions, and canonical URLs set up for search

Forms and email

  • Tire quote request form
  • Service request form
  • Photo and file attachments on submissions
  • Server-side form processing, delivered to the business email

Search and analytics

  • Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Google Search Console
  • XML sitemap and robots configuration

Launch and migration

  • Production deployment
  • Cloudflare, DNS, and SSL configuration
  • Permanent redirects from airporttire64.com
  • Launch checks across forms, redirects, and analytics

Moving to the new domain

The old domain still carried real visitors and search history, so it was not simply pointed at the new homepage. Old page addresses were mapped to their new equivalents with permanent redirects, and the mapping was checked across hundreds of old URLs, so existing links and search listings keep landing in the right place.
